How do I calculate aquarium volume in litres?
Multiply length × width × water height in centimetres and divide by 1000 — e.g. a 60 × 30 × 35 cm tank holds 63 litres. The calculator does this instantly and converts to US/UK gallons.
How many watts does my aquarium heater need?
A solid rule is 1 watt per litre for heating the water 8–10 °C above room temperature, or ~0.5 W/L in warm rooms. The heater tab applies this to your exact volume.
What filter flow rate do I need?
Most community tanks want the full volume circulated 4–6 times per hour. A 100-litre tank therefore needs a filter rated 400–600 L/h.
